It’s all about the returning light… This is what has been filling my soul this month, and I’ve been enjoying getting ready for the winter holidays, that will welcome in and celebrate the light. The Witches Moon Box for December 2025 is an offering in celebration of Yule, and this returning light. It is a lovely collection that will help us focus on our interior lives, through an otherwise very busy season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Light of Yule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
For its December box, the Witches Moon says, “As the wheel of the year turns toward its longest night, we step into the sacred and ancient season of Yule, when stillness deepens, reflection beckons, and the quiet promise of returning light stirs within us once more. Yule marks the seeded moment of the Sun’s rebirth, when the frost-softened veil of winter gives way to the first ember of rekindled hope. In this thoughtful and enchanting collection, we honor the guiding flame that leads us inward, illuminating our strength, our wisdom, and the truths we carry beneath the surface. Here, we invoke the light with intention, inviting magick to surge forth and awaken our spirit. Join us this December as we honor and celebrate the turning of the year and the blessed Sabbat to come!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This month the Witches Moon features a brass candelabra chosen for its design of three radiant branches, that echo “the old traditions of kindling the flames to honor the Sun in its moment of deepest slumber and re-awakening.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The candle holder is solid and well-made, and I plan on using this for table settings in addition to personal practice! There is an associated Triple Flame Rite included in the Book of Shadows Artwork that can be used for the candelabra, and there is also a set of three beeswax candles included in the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, the Witches Moon Box includes a selection of original art by A.E. Alden, that closely aligns with the month’s theme. This month, we have Father Time, reminding us that “every ending is a teacher, and every moment a thread in the great tapestry of life!” La Befana is a well-known Mediterranean folk figure; here she is shown riding high above a village on her broom. She is a crone similar to Baba Yaga and Hecate. Her presence here encourages us to share our kindness and hospitality. The rebirth of light is represented in the Magia Lucis artwork, which features useful correspondences and ideas and insights for personal practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A single card from the Mystical Wisdom Oracle Deck<\/em> by Gaye Guthrie and Josephine Wall is included in the box as well. This is meant to show us an important or meaningful message, for each of us alone. The card included in my box is Animal Bond, and it can be seen in the main image at the top of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set of three hand-rolled beeswax candles is in a lovely shade of light green. These candles have been rolled with natural essential oils including pine, cedarwood, frankincense, and sweet orange. The candles are unscented, and pleasant to burn. The New Hope aura spray is a “fragrant beacon of renewal,” meant to provoke feelings of moving on from the old and gaining forward momentum. A packet of bay leaves and a packet of a ritual herbal blend are also provided for ritual use, and a sodalite stone and lemongrass incense are meant to have a place on personal altars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
