I\u2019ve been thinking a lot about change lately. I\u2019m finally in a place where I can (I think) just make the changes I\u2019d like, rather than cope with the changes that life is bringing. Some of these changes are things I need to make in order to feel like I can move forward most effectively \u2013 shedding habits that aren\u2019t necessarily old habits, but have been stubborn ones for a few years. This kind of change is good, and healthy. The Witches Moon Box for June is perfect for this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sacred Serpent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
For June, \u201cWithin our practice, we hold transformation and renewal as one of the key components in crafting a magical life. We understand that we must be prepared to shed our old habits and perceptions, being born again within the tides of natural rhythm, where growth and beauty bloom through patience, perseverance, and a willingness to extend our view of the world and how we fit within it. As we grow older in our magical lives, so does the wisdom that is gained through this process of being born again and again. This very wisdom becomes the magical force we use to make positive change in the world around us. This is the Sacred Serpent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Witches Moon Exclusive Handcarved Serpent Wisdom Talisman \/ Wand<\/h2>\n\n\n
The Witches Moon Box is always so intentionally designed, pulling together items that work in synchrony. This month, the focal piece is a hand-carved serpent talisman, made from acacia wood and adorned with amber. There is much meaning to this piece. It represents a cycle of perpetual change \u2013 life, death, and rebirth \u2013 the natural transformation we all experience through our lives, through times of upheaval or simply shedding of old ways. <\/p>\n\n\n

The talisman is presented in a black padded box, marked with a sigil for wisdom. The Serpent Wisdom Talisman is intended to be used in meditation, ritual, or as an altar piece. It is beautiful and charming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, there are several pieces of original Book of Shadows Artwork, illustrated by A.E. Alden. These pieces are intended to be placed in one\u2019s Book of Shadows, spiritual journal, or displayed openly. The pieces in this month\u2019s box are the Rising Current, the Serpentine Current, and the Serpent. These illustrations offer ideas and suggestions for using the Serpent Wisdom Talisman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ritual Supplies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Whether you enjoy full magickal workings or rituals, perform spells, or keep your spiritual practice more sedate and focus on self-care and introspection, all of the ritual supplies in the Witches Moon Box can be incorporated. The Hand-Rolled & Anointed Serpent Wisdom Beeswax Spell Candle is great for focusing on what changes would best serve you right in this moment. The candle has been anointed with natural essential oils of Rose, Jasmine, Lavender, Chamomile, and the Witches Moon\u2019s own Sacred Silence blend. There is a spell with a sigil included for use with the candle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A small bottle of Serpent Wisdom Magickal Anointing Oil is offered for use with other altar tools or candles. It is in a base of sunflower oil, and has a subtle scent. Handmade Celestial Sky Incense is also included, and is evocative of the scents \u201cyou would be greeted with when you walk into your local metaphysical store.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to these items, small packets of Blackberry Leaf, Rose Petals, and Yarrow are also included. I love incorporating herbs in my ritual work, and the Witches Moon always offers great choices. A Nephrite Jade Crystal is also included in this month\u2019s box. This crystal is considered to help balance energies, and has historically been used in crafting talismans and amulets. A single sheet of parchment toned paper is also included, for jotting notes or documenting rituals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Personalized Oracle Reading<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In this month\u2019s box is a single card from Aurora Rising: An Oracle for Lightworkers, Wayshowers, and Dreamers of the New Dawn<\/em>, by spiritual guide and author Katrina Smith. This single card is said to be meaningful for each recipient. Mine is called Luminous Waters, and the message of the card is, “Purification. The Deep Freeze is Melting.” The deck itself was “lovingly crafted with visionary imagery and expansive messages,” to support a “transformative journey of empowerment and self-discovery.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Transformation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
This month\u2019s Witches Moon Box, like so many others, feels perfectly suited to exactly what I am going through. Even the single card included as a “personalized oracle reading” is timely and relevant to me. This month’s Witches Moon Box provides lovely and useful tools for helping me go through changes in my life right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
