November is sometimes not my favorite month and often brings with it unique challenges. This year November has presented some unforeseen health crises for my husband and I to deal with. We are doing our best to stay positive. The Witches Moon Box for November brings some much-needed spiritual focus.

Opening the Witches Moon Box ~ November 2025

Magick of the Morrigan

The name of this month’s box is Magick of the Morrigan.

The Witches Moon says, “Under the waning brilliance of autumn, we turn our eyes to the Morrigan, the Great Phantom Queen. She is the beauty of the storm and the stillness that follows; the fierce and mighty heart of transformation itself. Found within her gaze is the righteous beauty of birth and death. In this introspective month, we descend into the fathomless depths of her power, seeking hidden truths that can only be revealed by drinking from her chalice of mysteries. In this very exciting collection (which we are so proud of!), we step into the presence of the Morrigan, not merely to observe the dark and divine, but to become a part of it, walking hand in hand with the mysteries.”

An introspective month, indeed. It always has been for me, and especially given the specific health crises before me, this collection is uncannily apt. I’ll also add, I think the Witches Moon have outdone themselves this month!

The Morrigan, Ireland’s Goddess

The Morrigan, Ireland’s Goddess ~ by Rev. Lora O’Brien
with exclusive bookmark and red organza pouch

I love when the Witches Moon includes books in their boxes! They are always great choices, sometimes special editions, and always wonderful additions to a spiritual library. The Morrigan, by Rev. Lora O’Brien, promises to be a fascinating read. I have already started it. It is a thoughtful exploration that brings many years of devotion, study, work, and activism to the topic. The Morrigan, as well as ancient Irish spirituality generally, is presented with a keen eye toward historical accuracy, as well as modern utility.

Also included with the book, is a bookmark designed by the Witches Moon, which is a great touch.

Book of Shadows Artwork & Oracle Reading

Book of Shadows Artwork, by A.E. Alden

Every Witches Moon Box includes beautiful original artwork by A.E. Alden, that is meant for personal Books of Shadows, but can certainly be used for framing or daily inspiration. This month includes the separate pieces, Morrigan, Correspondences of the Morrigan, and Crow.

Each Witches Moon Box also contains a single card from a divinatory deck, considered to be a small, personal reading. For this month, cards are from The Great Goddess Oracle by Lucy Cavendish, with artwork by Jake Baddeley. Above is shown the back of the card in my box, but you can see the front of it, which features the goddess Demeter, in the main image at the top of the page. The Witches Moon suggests learning about the goddess featured on your card, and reflecting on how it fits into your life.

Pewter Morrigan Amulet

Two-sided pewter Morrigan amulet

Did I say I love when they include books? I also love when they include jewelry; it’s always a treat. Inside this month’s box is the two-sided Morrigan amulet that was exclusively designed and crafted by Deva Designs, in collaboration with the Witches Moon. One side features three crows, representing death, battle, and prophecy; the triskele, and three triquetras, all representing interconnectedness. On the flip side, there is a shield with three spears, for protection and sovereignty. It can be worn with either side facing out.

Ritual and self-care supplies

Ritual and self-care supplies

I consider these supplies to be either for personal ritual, or for self-care. Not everyone considers their home spiritual practice to be “ritual,” and the term sometimes makes people squeamish. For those, I’d say consider these part of self-care. Dedicating areas of a home to, and practicing reflection, spiritual attention, focused energy, meditation, or prayer, has been shown to be beneficial to our overall wellbeing. This month, the Witches Moon has included three packets with Mugwort, Buckwheat Hulls, and a Ritual Herbal Blend. There is also a great tin of Ravenleaf Remedy Tea, along with a muslin bag for steeping. The hand-rolled beeswax candle is intended for a Morrigan ritual and includes a sigil for incorporating into spiritual work. Also included are Dragon’s Blood incense cones (a nice change from stick incense), and a small bottle of Musings of the Morrigan anointing oil.

Black Jasper

Black Jasper

I keep all of the stones I have received through Witches Moon Boxes over the years, safely tucked into organized boxes, with labels. The Witches Moon says Black Jasper is great during times of transition, and can be carried as an “energetic shield,” when doing shadow work. I love that my stone looks a little like a crow’s head 🙂

Parchment paper

A useful sheet of parchment paper that is easy to insert into a Book of Shadows or spiritual journal. Use for noting “all potential signs and experiences related to the Morrigan,” ritual details, or simply reflections on spirit.
