Grounding in Earth… I love the Witches Moon Box. Every box feels like it was meant just for what I am experiencing in my life. The Witches Moon Box of April focuses on grounding, and opening to the empowering and healing energy of the Earth.
Every Witches Moon Box has a very focused theme. These are among the most cohesive subscription boxes I have ever received, making them a higher value because all of the included items work together. For April, the theme is the Earth Portal.

The Witches Moon Exclusive Earth Portal with Sumatra Amber
Every month’s box has a focal item. The Witches Moon Box for April features its exclusively designed and crafted Earth Portal. This is another way the Witches Moon sets itself apart from other subscription boxes – it regularly offers exclusive items they have designed themselves. I love the Earth Portal. The Earth Portal was made from Gliricidia sepium – Gamal wood, and Albasia wood, with a polished piece of Sumatra Amber set into it.
The Earth Portal is of course, a door, meant to symbolize a passage “where the boundary between the seen and unseen begins to soften and thin.” Its meaning can be quite unique to each individual. The Witches Moon recommends placing it with intention in your home or personal space.
Book of Shadows Artwork
This month’s Book of Shadows Artwork, each an original piece of art by A.E. Alden, includes Earth Portals, Beings of the Living Earth, and Grounding in the Earth. These are beautifully illustrated guides to working with the other items in the box. They include information and correspondences for personal work and ritual.
Agate Slice
The Agate Slice is a lovely addition to this month’s box. The Witches Moon says the Agate Slice “offers the energy of stability and grounding.”
For ritual and self-care
The Witches Moon provides tools and supplies for working in ritual or simply for self-care practices. This month, they have included a Hand-Rolled and Anointed Earthly Stability Beeswax Spell Candle, the Still Root Magickal Anointing Oil, a packet of Guardian Grove Ritual Herbal Blend, Handmade Natural Sandalwood Incense Sticks, as well as two Pollinator Flower Seed Packets.
These items can be used together or singly, in following guidance presented in the Book of Shadows Artwork, or in the accompanying information sheets – or, however you might feel inspired to incorporate them into your personal practice.
Personalized Oracle Reading
Each month, the Witches Moon Box includes a single card from an oracle deck. The card is meant to be particularly meaningful to each subscriber. For April, the oracle deck is the Earth Warriors Oracle by Alana Fairchild and Isabel Bryna, and I received the card Hi’Aka, or Sorceress of Light. The card included in this box felt like it really was meant for me at this time!
Parchment Paper
The Witches Moon Box includes a single sheet of blank “parchment” paper. Write anything you’d like on it – use it as a journal sheet, to plan or record ritual or magickal workings, or anything that might help you focus or explore your spiritual path.
